Introduction

Growth in world businesses has created an unprecedented demand for professionally trained accountants. This demand has clearly established the importance of a globally accepted standard with which employers and investors can validate the knowledge, integrity and professionalism of accountants and financial controllers. As Singapore is deemed to be a financial hub in the Asia Pacific Region, more professionally qualified accountants are needed to boost the growing economy. This applies equally to the growing economies of the regions, hence the need to offer such a program to international students and local students on a full-time and part-time basis respectively.
