Introduction
The course is designed to help students understand the theory and techniques involved in accounting and financial management. The diploma course covers the areas of accounting, auditing, economics, finance, IT and business.
Students may apply for exemptions from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants on successfully completing the course.
Duration
2 1/2 years (full-time), 3 years (part-time)
Entry Requirements
'O' Levels / SPM (or equivalent)

English Requirements
Students are expected to provide evidence of a level of English ability at least equivalent to 5.0 of the International English Language Testing Standards (IELTS) achieved within past 24 months or a pass in FTMS English Programme at Intermediate Level 2.
Assessment
Coursework and Written Examinations
Exemptions
Students with relevant Diploma or equivalent qualifications will be exempt from academic year 1 & year 2 and part of academic year 3 depending on their qualifications, and subject to approval from the examination board and/or the university.
Awards
Graduates will be awarded the following on successful completion:
- After completion of academic year 1 - Diploma (Foundation Stage)
- After completion of academic year 2 - Diploma
- After completion of academic year 3 - Higher Diploma
Advance Standing
FTMS Diploma has advanced standing for entry into the final year of Degree programmes offered by various highly rated Universities subject to the applicant meeting their entry requirements.
